Beyond the Mask:

Dinner & Auction to Benefit Perinatal Mental Health

Friday, October 16, 2020    |    Venue 252    |     5:30 – 10:30PM

Beyond the Mask will feature live music and a hosted social hour, a live and silent auction, and masquerade-themed prizes and activities. All proceeds support WellMama’s mental wellness and social support services. Mental health during pregnancy and postpartum is unique in that struggles are coming at a time when they’re least expected, the stigma is more pronounced, and the stakes are higher for both parent and baby if untreated. Join WellMama as we work to ensure no parent has to suffer alone in silence during the devastating challenges of postpartum depression, pregnancy anxiety, PTSD from a traumatic birth, or the general overwhelm and exhaustion that often coincides with the transition to parenthood. Help us create a society “beyond the mask” where parents can remove the mask of perfect, joyful parenthood and freely seek help. Help us ensure that our peer support services reach all parents who are struggling.

Thank you to our 2020 TITLE SPONSOR: Women's Care!

Women’s Care (Riverbend) takes care of all women, from adolescence to menopause, and is one of the area’s strongest advocates for women’s health. Our extremely well-educated employees have a synergy that is incomparable, each with deep compassion and profound respect for differing morals and belief systems.. We understand that all women have different needs and desires, and we personalize care accordingly.

Women’s Care offers in-office procedures that aren’t administered anywhere else in Lane County. Rather than outsourcing to ancillary surgical centers, we prioritize convenience while still providing cost-effective, state-of-the-art treatment. You can even count on Women’s Care to be there for you around the clock; we’re always only a phone call away with our 24-hour answering service and on-call physician.

Our patients have access to the latest innovations in our field. Our use of advanced technology is enormously beneficial, especially with regard to the diagnosis and prevention of disease. The new full-field digital mammography system, for example, features lower radiation doses, reduced breast compression pressure and improved cancer detection rates. At Women’s Care, convenient access to advanced technology means better health care for you.

Everyone at Women’s care is involved in the community in some way, whether it’s volunteering, working with charities, or working with scholarships for nursing students. This involvement creates a specific culture: Our staff members aren’t just employees; they are members of our community who choose to give back.

Thank you, Women’s Care, for your ongoing partnership and support of pregnancy and postpartum mental health and support.
